MELBOURNE BRIDAL AND WEDDING EXPO COMPETITION
TERMS & CONDITIONS

By participating in a Velvet Vice Studio Melbourne Bridal and Wedding Expo Competition, you are agreeing to the following competition terms and conditions.

ELIGIBILITY TO ENTER

The Melbourne Bridal and Wedding Expo Competition is open to entrants who are at least 18 years of age or older. Velvet Vice Studio employees and associates are excluded from the draw.

By entering the Melbourne Bridal and Wedding Expo Competition, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and that you are eligible to receive any prizes that may be awarded to you.  There is a limit of one entry per person and the competition is completely free to enter.

THE PRIZES

The winning prizees will be: First Prize: $400 voucher. Can be used for classes, party packages or entertainment (non-product), Second Prize: $250 voucher. Can be used for classes, party packages or entertainment (non-product). Third Prize: Free 4 Class Pass. Must be used before April 2024.

The prize is non-transferable and non-exchangeable, and no cash alternatives will be provided.

We reserve the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value if circumstances beyond our control require doing so. Velvet Vice Studio’s decision on any aspect of the competition is final and binding, and no correspondence will be entered into about it.

WINNER ANNOUNCEMENTS

The winners will be chosen at random and notified via the email address provided on 22/01/1024. Velvet Vice Studio will make two attempts to contact the winners via email.

If the winners do not respond to the emails informing them of their win within 14 days of the second email, they forfeit their right to the prize, and Velvet Vice Studio reserves the right to select and notify a new winner.

DELIVERY OF THE PRIZES

The winners will allow 14 days for the prize to be delivered. Prize Vouchers will be sent electronically via email.

DATA PROTECTION

You agree that any personal information that you provide when entering the competition will be used by Velvet Vice Studio for the purposes of administering the competition and for other purposes as specified in our Privacy Policy.

All entrants may request information on the winning participant by emailing velvetvicestudio@gmail.com

If requested by Velvet Vice Studio, the winners agree to release their first name to other competition participants. The winner’s first name will be announced on Velvet Vice Studio’s website and social media channels.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

Velvet Vice Studio accepts no liability for any damage, loss, injury, or disappointment suffered by entrants as a result of participating in the competition or being selected for a prize.

Velvet Vice Studio reserves the right, at any time and without prior notice, to cancel the competition or amend these terms and conditions.

PHYSICAL SAFETY

Participants are responsible for ensuring that they are physically and medically fit for the program or event that they are participating in. If in doubt of your suitability for the program please do not hesitate to contact us. During the program or event participants must take care at all times for their own personal safety and must inform the facilitator of any physical limitations, current or ongoing injuries or medical conditions they have prior to the commencement of the program. If for any reason you become injured or feel any pain or discomfort during a program or event you must stop your participation and inform the facilitator immediately.

COVID SAFETY

Velvet Vice Studio is a proudly Covid Safe business, and takes the health and wellbeing of our facilitators and participants very seriously.You can be assured that on your visit, all our facilitators are up to date with their COVID-19 vaccinations and that we have made every effort to ensure that your health and safety is our priority, including a strict cleaning schedule.

As our facilities are a welcome space for all, including those who are immunocompromised and those with vulnerable family members, we strongly recommend participants are up to date with their COVID-19 vaccinations.

IF YOU’RE FEELING WELL
  • Please use the hand sanitiser provided upon entering and exiting the studio, and before using studio props (eg fans, gloves, boas, chairs, etc)
  • Please be aware of personal space of your fellow participants
IF YOU’RE FEELING UNWELL OR SICK
  • Stay home! Do not attend your program or event if you are unwell or directed to self-isolate (eg after taking a covid test) and notify your facilitator.
  • If you test positive for COVID, please let us know so that we can notify any people necessary.
YOU’RE SHOWING SYMPTOMS BUT ARE COVID-FREE
  • (eg you have some residual symptoms from a non-covid illness and have produced a negative COVID test, either PCR or RAT)
  • Please wear a mask when in the studio out of respect for your facilitator & peers
  • Please have a chat to your facilitator prior to the program or event start
  • Please be extra vigilant about hand sanitising and distancing

If the studio is closed due to government direction or a local outbreak:
In the case of a studio shutdown leading to program or event cancellations due to covid-19, participants will receive a credit.

PUNCTUALITY & ATTENDANCE

Please aim to arrive 5 minutes before your program or event starts so you are ready to start on time. Please do not enter the space if another program or event is in progress. Participants who are more than 15 minutes late to their program or event are still able to join the group however the instructor may not have capacity to catch the participant up on any missed content.

PERSONAL BELONGINGS

Velvet Vice Studio accepts no responsibility for your personal items if misplaced, lost or stolen so please take care of your belongings & ensure you have everything with you when leaving.

PHOTOGRAPHY

Photography and video for personal use is welcomed at Velvet Vice Studio, however all participants must gain approval from all other persons in the photo/video before publishing it in any format, including online or on social media. Participants are not to be filmed or photographed without their knowledge or consent. Participants must gain permission from the facilitator before posting class content/choreography online, including social media.

Please note that by appearing in Velvet Vice Studio programs and events photos and video you are consenting to your image being used for Velvet Vice Studio promotional and marketing purposes.

COPYRIGHT

Facilitators retain copyright over all program and event content and choreography, and they are not to be used outside of Velvet Vice Studio for public or commercial use without express written consent by the facilitator.

CANCELLATION & REFUNDS

These terms & conditions only apply to our programs & events, and are NOT relevant to private events or shows.

CLASS TRANSFERS & REFUNDS

Participants may cancel their booking in exchange for a credit up to 14 days prior to the start date of the program or event by contacting Velvet Vice Studio in writing. Any less than 14 days prior to the start date of the program or event students may transfer the booking to another participants name or transfer into another program or event of equal or lesser value within 6 months (pending availability).’

INCOMPLETE ATTENDANCE

Velvet Vice Studio will not provide refunds for program and event payments under any circumstances including change of mind or failure to attend for personal or medical reasons. Velvet Vice Studio is not responsible for any lateness, incomplete attendance or failure to finish the program or event.

PROGRAM & EVENT CANCELLATIONS

We require a minimum number of participants for programs and events to proceed and may cancel if this minimum has not been met. In the event of a program or event cancellation due to low registrations, participants will be offered the option of a refund or transfer to an alternate program or event.

In the rare event of a facilitator being unable to deliver a program or event due to illness or other circumstances, we reserve the right to use a substitute facilitator. If this is not an option, then participants will be offered either a pro-rata refund for that date or a rescheduled date for the class.

All programs and events run as per usual on public holidays, unless otherwise specified.

STUDENT CODE OF CONDUCT

The Student Code of Conduct is an expression of Velvet Vice Studio’s values:

The following principles underpin the behaviour of all members of the Velvet Vice Studio community including participants (past/present/future), facilitators and all company policies and procedures. Respect in all interactions is expected between members of the community and within the broader community.

FACILLITATORS & PARTICIPANTS

  • treat each other in a transparent, non-discriminatory manner.
  • Respond to complaints in a timely fashion, maintaining confidentiality as appropriate;
  • affirm freedom of expression as fundamental to research, teaching, learning and community-engagement activities, while recognising hate speech and inappropriate comments will result in banishment from the school and events;
  • exercise care, diligence and impartiality carrying out their activities and maintain appropriate confidentiality of matters;
  • are honest and ethical in their dealings with each other and with the facilitators at Velvet Vice Studio
  • take responsibility to familiarise themselves with, and understand, Velvet Vice Studio’s policies, procedures and guidelines;
  • respect and use Velvet Vice Studio’s resources and infrastructure in an appropriate and responsible manner;
  • are part of a vibrant and diverse community of staff and students with a wide variety of backgrounds. Members respect and do not discriminate against each other.

BREACH OF PARTICIPANT RESPONSIBILITIES

Breaches of responsibilities under this code, in most cases, are determined by the facilitators of Velvet Vice Studio.
Members who breach the responsibilities under the Code of Conduct are expected to acknowledge responsibility and participate, in good faith, in the restorative activities to put things right when required.
